Fix Your Financial System

I just attended the first ever Wealth Summit of Bro. Bo Sanchez. Its tagline is so empowering – Superheroes of Abundance. And I believe that if the learning one had gained in this event will be put to action, he will be a superhero of abundance. And that is my prayer today – that I may put this wisdom I absorbed (Man, I was a sponge and I am!) into execution.

But I’m not going to talk about the Wealth Summit for the rest of the article for now. 🙂 Let me reserve that in the upcoming posts, so stay tuned. 🙂

Don’t worry. In this post, we will still talk about financial abundance with the learning points I had at the Feast two Sundays ago as we ended the series on Happy, Health, Holy Money.

Here’s Bo Sanchez’s message (based on my quick notes) and a little of my reflections.

There are two kinds of persons.

1. HUNTER

The hunter goes out to the jungle and catches a wild boar. Then he brings it home and the family on a famine yesterday is on festivity today. He kills all that he caught and consumes all of it. Then shortly after the feast is the famine once more. Then he has to go back to the jungle to catch the next wild boar.

The hunter survives on paycheck to paycheck. He is like running on a treadmill. He works (runs) faster and his bills (treadmill) runs faster, too. At times, the treadmill is even faster. If that would be the case, he would stumble. This happens when there are more months than money. Can you imagine that?

Sadly, there are a lot of hunters running around to this day. Please don’t be one of them.

Be the second kind of person –

2. RANCHER

The rancher goes out to the jungle and catches a wild boar. Then he brings it home. Before the festivity, he separates some and keeps them. The others are killed for the feast. He consumes some but he keeps a portion. This breeds and multiply. Gradually, there came a time that he does not have to go back to the jungle once again. All he has to do is to take care of his ranch and keep the boars multiplying.

The rancher knows how to save and invest.

You and I should be a rancher.

Make that decision to be a rancher today.

Now, here is an actionable step that you can take.

—> Fill in the 7 jars enumerated below and be on your way to become a rancher.

7th Jar: EMANCIPATION FUND

Call this your Freedom Fund – the fund that will emancipate you. Think it like your retirement fund or one that you can use to start creating passive income to add more earnings and eventually to replace your active income.

Put this into (choose from the 3) business, real estate, or in the stock market.

This may be 20% of your income.

6th Jar: EMERGENCY FUND

Just in case there is an emergency, you will have something ready. This may be 3 to 6 months worth of your living expenses.

5th Jar: EVERYDAY FUND

This will finance your daily needs – meals, rent, transportation, bills, etc.

4th Jar: EMPOWER FUND

This will fund your other small specific dreams. Maybe a gadget?

3rd Jar: ENJOYMENT FUND

Sometimes, you may have to go to the movies or maybe concerts or on mini-vacations. You can reserve around 3% of your income for this.

2nd Jar: EDUCATION FUND

You have to grow your self to grow your wealth. Read books, attend seminars, have mentors. You may set aside around 5% of your paycheck for your on-going learning.

1st Jar: ETERNITY FUND

Give to your Awesome Business Partner. This is your tithe (10%) – your ultimate long-term investment.

There you have it!

Fund these 7 jars to fuel your way to financial freedom. Do this monthly.

You and I can be a rancher.
You and I should be a rancher.
You and I will be a rancher.

I cannot afford not to. Can you?

Fix your financial system today.

Live your life, young mind!

1. I invite you to attend the Feast – it’s free but you won’t go home empty! The Feast, a Catholic prayer meeting of the Light of Jesus Family, is held every Sunday at the Philippine International Convention Center. It starts with a solemn mass, then wonderful worship, and finally a powerful preaching from Bro. Bo Sanchez. There are 4 sessions: one each at 8AM, 9:30AM, and 10:45AM, and then at 3:45PM with Bro. Alvin Barcelona. There are other Feasts in other locations – check www.kerygmafamily.com
